Braided Friendship Bracelets
writes, "The Friendship Bracelet craze is back and trendier than ever. These stretchy bracelets are an easy way to recycle old Tshirts into something hip and fun for your kids and their friends (and you too!)."
Materials:
Old Tshirts in various colors
Scissors
Rubber bands
Large safety pin & old towel {optional}

1) Cut
Using sharp fabric scissors, cut Tshirt fabric into long strips. We made strips that were roughly 1" x 24".

2) Braid
Choose 3 different colored strands, then bind them with a rubber band, about 4 inches from one end. Anchor the rubber banded end {try a large safety pin on a towel} and make a basic 3-strand braid that is almost long enough to wrap around your wrist. Secure loose ends with another rubber band.

3) Tie
Tie both loose ends together in a secure square knot. {Note: The unbraided loose strands will knot easier and flatter than the braided strands.} Once your bracelet is knotted to the right length, cinch the knot tightly. Carefully cut the rubber bands with scissors and trim any excess fabric close to the knot. It will be stretchy enough to slip over your hand and onto your wrist.

Other ideas:
These bracelets would make great sugar-free Valentines to give to your friends. Make a few every day & you'll have enough in no time!
Make an extra long braid to wear as a headband.
